Dental Condition Survey

Fogászati állapotfelmérés

Accurate diagnosis is the basis for safe and effective dental treatment

Why is a condition assessment necessary?

The dental condition assessment is a necessary and essential step of the dental treatment plan. Knowing the condition of the entire dentition is essential for your dentist to outline for you the most ideal results based on your possibilities and needs.

What happens the first time?

  1. When you arrive at the surgery, you will receive a medical history card at the reception, which you must fill out. On this page, we provide information on important issues such as your previous or existing illnesses, drug allergies, or illnesses that have previously occurred in the family. It is important that you answer these questions honestly, as these questions are of crucial importance during any subsequent drug treatments and when choosing the anesthetic that may be necessary. Of course, the data you provide will be handled in accordance with the legal regulations, its contents may only be known to the staff performing dental treatment.
  2. After filling out the medical history card, the dentist in the office will review your card and, based on the information contained in it, ask you additional questions if deemed necessary. If your medical history is deemed complete by your doctor, he will begin an examination of the oral cavity and teeth, which takes approximately 20-30 minutes and, if necessary, will order a panoramic X-ray. The assistant records what the doctor sees on the status sheet.
  3. After a complete examination of the condition of the oral cavity and dentition, the dentist will inform you about the medically justified interventions. Since the available options and dental solutions – including their prices – vary widely, your doctor will inform you of several options. Of course, it is not necessary for you to immediately say yes to the treatments and accept them, you also have the option of requesting a written treatment plan and price quote from us, which we will deliver to you electronically within 2-4 working days.
  4. After studying the treatment plan, you of course have the option of further consultation, which will continue to be free of charge. We consider it important to provide you with all the necessary information regarding the treatments, based on which you can learn about the course of the treatment, the expected results and their – mostly minimal – risks.
