Dentures without grinding

Dentures without grinding

A gentle solution for minor tooth loss

To compensate for minor missing teeth, especially in the area of molars, it is also possible to prepare a dental prosthesis without grinding. Traditionally, a tooth is replaced by grinding off the adjacent teeth - their enamel layer - and then creating a three-member bridge: its two outer members are fixed on the polished teeth adjacent to the missing tooth, while the middle member of the 3-member bridge is supposed to replace the missing tooth between these two teeth. which is attached to the two extreme pillars of the bridge.

However, especially in the area of small molars, it is also possible to replace the missing tooth with a bridge that does not require grinding and sacrificing the two adjacent teeth, it is enough to remove only enough tooth material from them, which actually corresponds to the size of each inlay. Afterwards, the dental impression is taken, on the basis of which the dental technician prepares the appropriate tooth replacement.

This tooth replacement can be a particularly good choice if one of the missing teeth already has an aesthetic or amalgam filling.

If you want to solve the replacement of a single tooth in such a way that it is not necessary to grind the adjacent teeth or create any cavity in the teeth, then the dental implant we recommend its implantation, which results in a durable and aesthetic dental replacement.
